These Terms and Conditions govern your use of UKMarketStore. They explain how the marketplace works for buyers and sellers. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Introduction

Welcome to UKMarketStore ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services. If you do not agree, you must not use UKMarketStore.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United Kingdom to use UKMarketStore. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

3. Buying & Selling

Sellers are responsible for accurately describing their items, including condition and images, and for complying with the laws that apply to their sales. Buyers agree to purchase in good faith. Once a purchase is confirmed, it may create a binding contract between buyer and seller. UKMarketStore operates the marketplace and facilitates payments and communications. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits statutory consumer rights that apply to a purchase.

4. Commission & Fees

UKMarketStore charges a 10% commission on each completed sale, unless a different fee is clearly displayed before the seller lists or sells an item. The applicable commission is deducted from the seller's payout. There are no fees for listing items or browsing the platform unless clearly stated.

5. Buyer Protection & Payment Processing

Platform dispute process: where UKMarketStore applies a 48-hour platform dispute window after a delivery event, buyers should use the dispute process promptly if there is a problem. The platform may use tracking information when administering the transaction. A missed platform deadline does not by itself waive statutory consumer rights. Lost or delayed parcels can be reported through the platform so the transaction can be investigated and the appropriate payment or refund action considered.

6. Prohibited Items

You must not list or sell: illegal items, counterfeit goods, hazardous materials, weapons, controlled substances, or any items prohibited under UK law. Any listings containing prohibited or dangerous items will be automatically removed from the platform. UKMarketStore reserves the right to suspend any account found in violation of this policy.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt to defraud other users, post false or misleading information, harass or abuse other users, or attempt to circumvent our payment system by transacting off-platform. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on UKMarketStore, including logos, design, and software, is owned by UKMarketStore and protected by UK intellectual property law. By listing items, you grant UKMarketStore a non-exclusive licence to display your listing content on the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

UKMarketStore operates as a marketplace platform and does not become the seller of goods listed by users unless expressly stated otherwise. Sellers remain responsible for their listings and for the legal obligations that apply to their sales. UKMarketStore may provide refunds under its Buyer Protection process where the marketplace rules are met. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful, including rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods. Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent permitted by law.

10. Privacy

Your use of UKMarketStore is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of UKMarketStore after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
