Every purchase on UKMarket is protected. We hold your payment in a secure escrow until you confirm you've received your item. If something goes wrong, we've got your back with a full refund guarantee.
How It Works
Step 1: Secure Payment
When you click 'Buy Now', your payment is processed securely through Stripe Connect. Your money never goes directly to the seller.
Step 2: Funds Held in Escrow
Your payment is held securely by our payment processor. The seller is notified of the sale but won't receive the funds until you confirm delivery.
Step 3: Seller Ships Item
The seller dispatches your item to the address you provided. A tracking number is shared so you can follow your delivery.
Step 4: Confirm Delivery
Once you receive the item and are satisfied, confirm delivery. Only then are the funds released to the seller (minus our 10% commission).
10% Commission
UKMarket charges a 10% commission on every sale. This covers payment processing, buyer protection, dispute resolution, and platform maintenance. Sellers see the exact payout amount before listing.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if my item doesn't arrive?
If your item doesn't arrive within the estimated delivery window, you can raise a dispute. We'll investigate and process a full refund if the seller can't provide proof of delivery.
What if the item is not as described?
You have 48 hours after delivery to raise a dispute if the item doesn't match the listing. We'll review the case and can issue a full or partial refund.
How long does the seller have to ship?
Sellers must dispatch items within 3 business days. If they fail to ship, you'll receive an automatic refund.
Is my payment information safe?
Absolutely. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment provider. We never store your card details.
